School Level Youth Parliament 25 held in Kendriya Vidyalaya NHPC DHARCHULA – “Fostering Future Leaders”
(08 AUGUST 2025)
To instill democratic values and nurture leadership qualities among students, our school organized a Youth Parliament session on 8 August 2025. The event aimed to simulate the workings of the Indian parliamentary system, giving students a platform to voice their opinions, engage in debates, and understand the legislative process.
The session began with the ceremonial opening by Priya class XII B, the “Speaker of the House,” followed by a welcome address by Umeshawari Chalal, class XII B the “Prime Minister.” Students took on various roles such as Members of Parliament, opposition leaders, cabinet ministers, and foreign delegates and journalists.
The agenda for the session included discussions on contemporary social and national issues like Pakistan terrorism attacks, Women’s safety concerns, petrol diesel price hike, rising level of inflation, agricultural crisis, education reforms, environmental conservation, and digital/cyber safety.
The debates were vibrant, well-researched, and reflected the students’ awareness of real-world challenges. Through structured arguments and rebuttals, participants showcased their critical thinking, public speaking, and problem-solving skills.
The Youth Parliament not only encouraged civic engagement but also promoted values of respect, cooperation, and responsible citizenship. It was a successful initiative that helped students experience the spirit of democracy firsthand.
At the end, respected Principal Sh. Rahul Dev congratulated to entire team and motivated by his words of wisdom.
Overall all very enthusiastic and vibrant experiences are attained in order to inculcate overall development of the vidyalaya and for the budding young future’s leaders as well.
