Skill Education

Skill education is a central focus of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, designed to equip students with both academic and practical skills. In accordance with the directives of Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Kendriya Vidyalaya NHPC Dharchula has adopted two skill-based subjects for its secondary and senior secondary students.

For secondary students, Artificial Intelligence (AI) has been made a compulsory subject, offering students a foundational understanding of AI technologies and their applications in various fields. At the senior secondary level, the school has introduced Physical Activity Trainer as an elective, aimed at preparing students with the necessary skills to become professionals in physical activity and fitness training. These initiatives reflect the school’s commitment to providing a well-rounded education that enhances both intellectual and physical development.
